• We are the only company that has patented technology to view a diamond from the side as well as the top. We can accurately measure the shape of a stone, the shape of the table and the orientation of the table vis-a-vis the girdle. This is the best way to market the cut quality of a fine branded cut diamond.
  • The Certificate gives a cut grade based on a diamond’s Durability, Finish and Size – a system developed by Mr. David Atlas, a prominent gemologist and a third generation in the diamond business. This system is objective and conveys to the consumer how well a stone has been crafted.
  • The third significant aspect of our Certificate is that unlike subjective evaluations of color, fluorescence and light behavior, direct measurements are used to objectively grade a stone’s color, fluorescence, light behavior, proportions and symmetry. ImaGem guarantees the repeatability of its grades – no exceptions.
  • Our patented technology delivers the combined powers of modern digital imaging and highly sophisticated imagestatistical analysis developed by Dr. Aggarwal – a University Professor who taught and published in the field of Statistics for 22 years. This combination assures accuracy and repeatability in ImaGem measurements.
  • ImaGem can operate an independent lab with a space of as little as 100 square feet. A throughput of 2400 diamonds in a month can be generated with one shift of 8 hours. In case of higher volumes, the capacity can be increased to 4800 diamonds a month by employing two shifts.
  • Use of sophisticated equipment and technology allows ImaGem to have a very high level of repeatability on critical factors like color, fluorescence, clarity, light behavior etc. which is very difficult to achieve with subjective evaluation.
  • All of ImaGem’s grading set ups operate independently of the customer’s operation. By introducing “independent” grading and certification done at a customer’s site ImaGem eliminates the “bottlenecks” in the grading process. The term independent here means the evaluation of a stone and issuance of a grading certificate is done by an unbiased party, not related to the owner of a stone. A key concept in independent grading is that the party issuing the certificate does not have a financial interest in the operations of the party who owns the stone.
